I recently tried switching to Linux as my full time operating system (tl;dr it didn’t work out) but I came across Ansel and thought, at first, “Man, this is a Darktable rip-off”. And then I read the support doc about how Ansel is different. While it was downloading I decided to make a donation purely on the attitude of the project and the developer :D

Thanks for all the hard work!

“purely on the attitude” +1

Ansel isn’t yet my primary raw developer but I like the idea of having someone responsible for managing the development and keeping it from going off in different directions all at once. I like the idea of someone caring about the overall quality of the product and not just adding new features and putting bandaids on stuff to keep it working.

I’m also intrigued by the possibility of booking support time with someone who is proficient with the software to save many long hours of rubbing two sticks together myself.
