Today I discovered Ansel after viewing the wonderful YouTube rant about DT 4.0 and since I completely agree with everything said I thought I’d give Ansel a try… So, first of all, great work so far! I’m very pleased with how you formulated the issues so clearly, and decided to take action.

Having said that, I’m not able to find some things that I used to use quite frequently in DT. The most basic one is vieweing the selected image full-screen in Lighttable. In the documentation it says that holding w will show it full screen, and ctrl+w shows areas in focus. However, when I press w or ctrl+w it tells me that these shortcuts are not assigned. I went to the preferences to try to assign them, but couldn’t find the correct option to do so. Before filing a bug report, I thought I’d check here if I’m missing something… Any help would be appreciated!

Forgot to mention - I’m using version 0.0.0+283~g9405171cc installed on arch linux from the AUR with the package `ansel-git`

Hey Omrihar,

the full-screen preview is unfortunately not available at the moment. The Lighttable view is under reconstruction and the doc can’t really keep up with all the development :D

There are workarounds, but they come with their own quirks: /archive/culling-rating-images-workflow/

Hey Lukas,

I assumed this was the case, and I’m really curious / looking forward to see the result of the overhaul. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything… I’ll just wait patiently for progress to be made, as I’m unfortunately not fluent in GTK / lua to actively help…
